The Westernized Japan

Today's Japanese life style is similar to the western one. For example the clothes, diet, and houses were westernized, and today I want to focus on the Starbucks Coffee as a example of globalization in Japan. There are numerous coffee shops in Japan, and especially the foreign affiliated coffee shops have a high popularity among Japanese.
Starbucks Coffee is the one of the most popular coffee shop in Japan. It was born in us in 1971, and it came to Japan in 1996. at that time there were only 3 Starbucks in Japan, but now there are 686 shops in japan, and near Hirakata station there are 3 starbucks (picture). The growth of the number of shops is amazing, and also it implies how Japanese are westernized, The atmosphere and the music which is being played in the Starbucks are western, and such western style is accepted and preferred by Japanese. If Japanese are not westernized, they cannot feel comfortable in such place. However many Japanese can feel relaxed by being there and having coffee, so it is the evidence that western life style is established deeply in Japan.

Starbucks is an excellent example of globalization. You provide nice links for your post, but they are both labeled the same. You should probably hotlink different words. Or maybe even give a little information about the links you provide.

Your pictures show 2 of the 3 shops near Hirakata-shi station. What about the third? And what do you think these photos provide in terms of information or illustrating your main points? I think most people have seen a Starbucks shop before...

I would like you to tell me how Starbucks is an example of westernization (or globalization). Just because they come from America is not really sufficient. It might be interesting to compare and contrast Starbucks and Japanese kissaten. Also, are Starbucks shop sin japan exactly the same as those in America? For example, McDonald's in Japan has many different products than the McDonald's in America. Is this true for Starbucks as well?

I wanted to express the western atmosphere of the Starbucks in Japan by the photos, but as your advice, it must be better to have photos of Japanese kissaten, and compare Starbucks and Japanese Kissaten.
I searched about Japan limited products and found some of these. Now producs which are related to Sakura are sold in Stabucks. For example Sakura chiffon cake, Sakura tumbler, Sakura macaron and cookie are sold during the spring in Japan. These products are called "2008 SAKURA", and this Sakura campaign began 7 years ago.
